Hormuz has several places to visit and amazing landscapes
Portuguese castle
Portuguese Castle is a red stone fortress on Hormuz Island. It is one of the last surviving monuments of Portuguese colonial rule in the Persian Gulf.
Constructed on a reddish stone on a rocky promontory at the far north of the island, the castle was originally cut off from the rest of the island by a moat, traces of which still remain. Although most of the roof caved in long ago, much of the lower part of the very substantial outer walls are intact, with the remains lying on different levels of the site.
The Red beach
Hormuz has great sources of red soil. The locals call it (GELAK)
The red beach is placed in front of the red soil mine. So when you get there everywhere is red, and the most beautiful part of that is the sea. The water is red and so bloody.
Valley of the statues
With a few hundred meters walk to the beach, in a way that silver sands attract attention, rocks can be seen in many different forms, each is likened to an animal, a sheep’s head, poultry, and many different Dragons.
Besides the amazing shapes, the valley is placed so high, so you will also enjoy a great view of the Persian Gulf and the waves hitting the cliff.
Rainbow Valley
Hormuz is a colorful island. Every mountain and every rock has a different color.
But in this place, a mix of all the amazing colors and mountains are gathered together. Especially after a rain, they are just so bright. it’s just amazing when you hikeing through the valley and enjoying the art of nature.
